Today’s news is about Google Gemini's New Update. Google has come up with an updated version of the Gemini AI chatbot. With the new update, Gemini AI recalls and summarizes previous conversations on its own making it easier for its users to use it efficiently without repeating information for contexts.

AI Chat to Recall Conversations and Personalize Responses

In a blog post on Thursday, Google has announced an update to its Gemini AI chatbot. According to this update, the AI chatbot will recall the information the user has inculcated in it and tailor personalized responses based on the previous conversations allowing the user to not repeat the information again and again.

OpenAI CEO Sam Altman stated that many users have requested ChatGPT’s improved memory features and several AI chatbot providers are experimenting with memory and recall. Google and OpenAI have both enabled more general “memory” features that allow ChatGPT and Gemini to remember details about users.

Availability of Google Gemini AI Features

Google Gemini’s AI chatbot new feature is not updated for every user. It is available only to English-speaking subscribers of Google who have a $20-a-month AI chatbot subscription, Google One AI Premium. This feature will soon roll out additional languages for users with enterprise accounts in the coming weeks.

How Google Gemini's AI New Feature Works

Gemini's new feature will allow the AI chatbot to:

  • Recall previous conversations: AI will recollect previous information you shared with it, and summarise it for you to be used in future context.
  • Tailor Responses: AI will generate personaliZed responses based on your previous information given to AI.

Addressing Privacy Concerns

With the new updates, addressing privacy concerns is always the top priority. To alleviate these concerns Google allows users to:

  • Review and delete AI chat history
  • Decide how long Gemini to keep conversation history
  • Users can turn off the recall feature by visiting the "My Activity" page in Gemini.
