Samsung to Release One UI 7 with AI Upgrades in 2025

An AI arms race is about to break out in the mobile phone industry. All of the main players are preparing to use one of the most revolutionary technologies of our time. With Apple Intelligence making its debut on the iPhone 16, Samsung’s One UI 7 beta is set to be released soon.

Early in 2025, Samsung is expected to release One UI 7, which will include new features and upgrades. However, the company is a little behind schedule, which could have an impact on when the Galaxy S25 series launches. One of the most anticipated improvements that Samsung is expected to release is a notification summary feature that uses artificial intelligence, a lot of what Apple has done.

AI Notification Feature

Chun Bhai, a news leaker on X, provided the tip. According to him, the most recent One UI 7 release has a feature known as AI notification. For its Galaxy AI toolkit, Samsung is allegedly developing a Notification Summary function similar to Apple Intelligence. According to 9To5Google, Samsung Galaxy smartphones may soon include a feature that summarizes notifications, allowing users to see them at a glance.

Currently only available in Korean, the new feature is anticipated to be named Al notification. It is expected to be released as part of One UI 7, Samsung’s user interface built on the Android 15 Samsung. The sources suggest that this feature might only work with flagship phones and bypass Samsung's midrange models.

New User Interface

Samsung has been working on a new One UI 7 user interface in addition to the AI notification feature. Redesigned app icons, a modernized quick-toggle menu, an improved lock screen control area, and a redesigned camera interface are all part of the new user experience.

One UI 7 is also expected to include features such as homework assistance in the gesture-driven Circle to Search tool. This new update also includes improvements to Galaxy AI products, such as Sketch to Image and Live Effects, and additional parental controls. One UI 7 was shown by Samsung at their SDC 2024 developer conference, showcasing a “brand new UX design” with three primary objectives: meaningful ease, signature view, and emotional attachment.

Samsung's Galaxy S25 Series

One UI 7's launch is probably going to take place at the same time as Samsung's Galaxy S25 series, which is planned for January 2025. However, according to insiders, Samsung’s development timetable has been delayed. Therefore, developers and beta testers are now waiting for One UI 7’s initial beta release.

The launch date of the S25 series may be affected by this delay, as Samsung may decide to give priority to software updates over hardware releases.
