You might have already noticed that AI is used in most apps, including YouTube. The largest video-sharing website in the world is now testing a new AI-powered function. But this is not the first time that YouTube has been using AI. It has also used AI before.
YouTube has consistently added new features to improve the experience for both artists and consumers. Additionally, such features promote positive relationships between producers and viewers. The firm is now introducing a function that allows certain producers to remix music by explaining how they wish to customize the song's style.
This new feature will let creators explore new sounds, add a personal touch, and expand their creativity while seeing what AI can do.
Remixing Songs by Prompts
YouTube's Dream Track experiment is becoming bigger. The most recent feature that the company has released enables producers to modify licensed songs for their shorts using AI. YouTube is currently introducing a feature that allows a select number of creators to remix a song by explaining how they wish to modify the song's style via AI prompting. For this new remix option, creators will have access to selected tracks through its label partners.
How It Works?
A creator can choose an eligible song if they are in the test group. Then, they have to choose the option to "Retstyle a track." After that, they can explain how they wanted to remix the song. In their description, the authors can try to recreate the song's genre or tone. After that, AI would generate a "unique 30-second soundtrack" that could be employed to make YouTube shorts.
According to YouTube, the original music will be clearly credited in the remixed soundtracks. Additionally, it will be labeled appropriately to show that the track was remixed using artificial intelligence.
Benefits of the Dream Track Feature in November
According to YouTube, these experiments explore how AI tools might help artists and creators expand their ideas and enhance their creative work. With the help of these tools, fans will be able to form new and stronger connections with their favorite creators. All of this information will assist us in refining and improving the technology and guiding future applications.
Previous AI features of YouTube
YouTube introduced a feature last year that allows a select number of American producers to use the vocals of musicians such as Demi Lovato, T-Pain, Charli XCX, John Legend, Troye Sivan, Charlie Puth, and Sia to create AI-generated sons through prompts.
Other AI Features on YouTube
Apart from using AI to remix music, YouTube has also used the technology to change the gesture navigation on its YouTube mobile app. To go on to the next video, the app is testing with a swipe-up action that is similar of TikTok.
Based on YouTube AI's suggestion, this feature automatically plays the next video. Additionally, YouTube is introducing a new design for the iPhone and Android playback speed controls.
